Your Questions

What do I get for my money?
With the help of a different musician/artist/DJ, you'll receive a t-shirt printed with album artwork on the front, and available in a variety of shirt sizes, with a small badDETT label logo on the back, which houses the download code. This unique code is triggered by a smart-phone enabled with a free scanner app. This link will take you directly to a download page where you can access the music, by pressing the big DOWNLOAD button.

When will my t-shirt arrive?
We aim to complete all orders and ship within 72-hours.

What style of music will I receive?
Our shirt's sound changes from sleeve-to-sleeve, month-to-month; whether out-and-out hip-hop, soul revival, experimental electronica or exclusive and acoustic, we bounce from the defined to the Avant-garde without compromise, question or remorse, aided and abetted by musicians and producers who confidentially and passionately push the envelope of music.

Can I buy badDETT as a surprise gift?
Yes, what a lovely idea. How kind are you...? When you order, make sure to select the 'gift' option. Simply write the lucky recipients name and address in the 'delivery' section of the shopping experience and we'll send them your musical shirt gift direct to them.

I live outside of the UK: Can I still order and receive t-shirts from badDETT?
Yes, of course you can. We are a global product, which we hope will be enjoyed, engaged with, and shared with people from far and wide.

What does bad dett stand for?
BAD (good) so they say in hip-hop.
DETT (excellent, attractive, definitely) as junglists the world over proclaim.

Who are badDETT?
badDETT is the result of a rather long and romantic musical journey... essentially the love child of music agency Noma, created in 1997 by the Midlands-based DJ collection, known as The Sophisticated Sissies: Johnny Storm (Jon Saxon), Mr. Nex (Mark Archer), DJ Leon (Leon Bennet) and Big Beat Willie Brown (Will Holland). The agency promoted DJs, rappers, graffiti artists, b-boys and independent bands. The agency also hosted exclusive European DJ tours for the likes of Stateside DJs - Vinroc, Roli Rho and The Kolabz, as well hosting one-off shows for X-ecutioner, Mista Sinista and Invisble Skratch Pikl/Beat Junkie, Shortkut. A later journey into music production saw Mark launch Kama Productions, whilst Will and Jon worked on 1977 Productions, producing Epsom-based indie band, Da Da Junk and recording the DJ battle break LP, No Remorse. Will later branched off to work with London-label, Breakin Bread and kick-start a most successful career as Quantic. A few DJ tours, late-night gigs and many months of talent scouting later and we finally arrive at badDETT.

Who designed the badDETT character illustrations?
Our dear (and frightfully talented) friend, Shok 1 - www.shok1.com

Can I send you a demo?
We openly encourage demos, whether produced in a state-of-the-art studio or in a bedsit on a begged, borrowed or stolen laptop. Please email your creative pieces as MP3 files or as web-links (such as YouTube, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, etc) direct to [email protected]

Can I send you hard-copies?
Sure thing. Send us CDs, vinyl (our weapon of choice), MiniDisc (don't say we haven't covered all corners) and tape (yes tape - long live the C60) to the address below. Please be aware that we are sadly unable to return any material sent to us, so please do not send us any original formats, your only pressing or anything that will force a tear if you never see it again. For everything else: badDETT, Little Vigrove, Caynham, Shropshire, SY8 4JZ, United Kingdom.
